And beyond that, when is it right for us to recommend something or someone we feel strongly about? Well, from the hoopla surrounding our choice of Rob Black as the Director of the Year in the last issue, we're beginning to think that some of the porn people don't actually believe in free speech anymore. Seems they're offended by the type of movies that Black makes. That totally amazes us, as the porn industry in our eyes, is all about self-expression. If you don't like Rob Black and/or guys like Max Hardcore, than you better defend their right to do what they do, or you won't be able to make smarmy, couples-oriented porn movies! Where does it all end? If some of the video producers in adult like to think they make quality adult entertainment, while someone like Black is merely churning out misogynistic male masturbation material, they sorely miss the point. From the 20+ years I've spent in the business, most of the people that watch adult entertainment, or whatever you may choose to call it, masturbate or make love during or after viewing this stuff. So for my money, if somebody gets off on Black's vision of erotica, or they like to slap the monkey to the Playboy channel carnality of Paul Thomas, Michael Ninn or some of the other directors on that station, so be it. We love Rob Black. He's funny, innovative, horny, nasty and�most importantly�he doesn't give a fuck that some people say he cops from Gregory Dark or one of the other directors they see similarities to in his movies. Well, so fucking what? Paul Thomas steals from where he can. Michael Ninn's movies owe more debt to computer games and special effects programs and Andrew Blake wouldn't be around if it wasn't for Helmut Newton or Obsession commercials. But that's okay in our books. It's all great stuff to jerk off to. So now that we've gotten that off our chest, you can go ahead an read on, or jerk-off on this stroke book.
