The awards. sponsored by the Duke of Wellington pub (`Try Our Booze and Have A Snooze') not only gave your favourite monthly the top overall prize, but also honoured some of our ground-breaking columnists, photographers and staff. Lord Bleach was pleased, but not surprised to clinch the Drunken Editor of the Year title. "I don't want to blow my own trumpet, but the whole industry knew I had to be favourite for this one," he said after the ceremony. "The panel were bound to go for consistency, and that's lust the quality I have in abundance." Maurice Short ran away with the Tallest Sports Columnist category. "I think I won it because I'm the tallest sports columnist around," he said modestly. Horst Pipe was less happy with his third place in the Dullest Car Column race. "I put the effort in, and I really thought I'd clinched it over the last couple of months," he groaned. "I suppose it's because there really are some extremely dull car columns around at the moment. But make no mistake, I shall redouble my efforts in this field over the coming year!" We're sure he will. The judges' award for The Only Photographer Who Can Blow Bubbles Out Of His Ear once again went to Jack 'Rambo' Harrison. "I am honoured and humbled to receive this tribute to my artistic abilities," he said. "But it's only a joke, Jack," we said. "Oh," said Jack, looking slightly put out. Sauciest girl of the year went to a certain lady who we wouldn't dream of naming here, especially as she's promised to fulfil various perverted requirements in exchange for our silence.
