Playboy's Girls of Playboy # 4 (1980)

You guys out there obviously know a good thing when you see it. The first three volumes of The Girls of Playboy have been wildly successful, rapidly selling out wherever they've gone on display. Well, we've never believed in disappointing our faithful fans, so we've gone back to work and produced a fourth volume in the series. Here again are Playmates, Bunnies, actresses, models, cover girls, as portrayed by some of the world's leading photographers—PLAYBOY regulars Pompeo Posar, Richard Fegley, Mario Casilli, David Chan, and high-fashion hotshots such as Helmut Newton. Here are beautiful women acting out your favorite fantasies—a rendezvous with a French maid, perhaps; a masquerade ball; a bridal ravishment. Here, too, are photographic introductions to the living, breathing and beautiful feminine residents of the New South and of Washington, D.C.; even the revealing views and frank confessions of Las Vegas' ladies of the evening and the disarmingly fresh-faced new breed of actresses who toil in triple-X movie fare. It's always fun, after all the pictures have been selected, all the artists' layouts completed and all the captions written, to sit back and look over the whole project. Sometimes one can spot a trend; this year's seems to have been celebrity marriages. Among the ladies with whom you'll get reacquainted on these pages is Miss November 1976, Patti McGuire, who went on to become Playmate of theYear in 1977—and then to become the bride of world-champion tennis player Jimmy Connors (and mother of his son, Brett David). After a lengthy courtship, March 1976 Playm,ate Ann.Pennington said "I do" to the teenyboppers' singing idol, Shaun Cassidy; she was followed down the aisle almost immediately by Debra Jensen, the star of PLAYBOY'S January 1978 centerfold, who wed Kiss drummer Peter Criss. Nor were our Playmates alone in joining the ranks of the nuptially blissful; July 1977 PLAYBOY cover girl Pamela Serpe and spouse Greg (B.I. and the Bear) Evigan were profiled in People magazine—complete with a reprint of Pam's cover pose.
