EDITOR'S PIECE Is it every straight man's fantasy to appear in a gay video? With the ever-growing numbers of breeder boys infiltrating our ranks, it gives us pause to think. Straight men have been performing in gay videos since the very beginning, but do they really belong here? Isn't sex what sets us apart from our hetero counterparts? What's the allure here? The main reason, it seems, is simple economics. The money paid to men in gay videos is much better than what they'd receive in straight porn (where the women are pampered and the men are considered breathing props). On gay video sets, straight men are sometimes coddled with all sorts of concessions, including pussy magazines on the set to keep them hard, restrictions on the nasty things they will do, female fluffers, shooting delays because they can't get it up for a guy, etc. Is this all worth it? Has anyone considered what affect this might have on the gay guys who are playing second fiddle next to these straight guys? (We've heard their complaints; they resent it and it really ruptures the sexual mood!) On the other side of the fence, we have the viewers. Is it every gay man's fantasy to see a straight guy have sex with another guy? I don't think so; it's certainly not my fantasy. Especially when I see some straight guys on the sets cringing when asked to do something they consider distasteful — or refusing to do the good stuff altogether! Gay men suck dick. Gay men eat ass. And gay men want to see that in their porn. I feel ripped off when I see a video with a straight guy just sitting back getting serviced and not reciprocating. Is this whole trend some kind of weird joke? Does it mean gay guys aren't good looking enough so we have to look to straight guys to fill the void? And why are we sometimes being forced to watch second-rate sex because many of these straight boys won't do the nasty stuff I actually buy the videos for? I don't mean to come down too harshly on all straight guys in gay porn. There are many of them who identify as straight, yet have no problems wrapping their lips around a cock or even taking one up their butt! Thus, the illusion isn't shattered and the sex still looks hot. It may be just "acting" — but as long as it's done well, I don't care! What it all boils down to is getting what we pay for. I want to see hot sex between guys who really enjoy what they're doing. If they're straight, that's fine; just don't let them act straight in my movies!
